Boxing Fitness

General Wellness Checks

Time: 09.00-16.00

Venue: Human Resources, Meeting Room 2

Cost: Free - You must book onto this as there are limited spaces!

 In partnership with our Occupational Health Provider RPS, the University is offering staff and students the opportunity to discuss their health and lifestyle with an occupational health nurse and to undergo a series of measurements including height, weight, Body Mass Index, blood pressure, cholesterol testing, glucose testing.

The (free) assessments are 30 minutes long, completely confidential and for your individual benefit only.

Kitchen Garden

Time: 12.15-13.45

Venue: The Kitchen Garden, next to Witham House

Cost: Free

Gardening is a great way to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. Come join the environmental team to harvest the remaining crop from last year and get the soil ready for the upcoming season.

This year we’re planning to grow carrots, potatoes, courgettes, and a few more vegetables for the chaplaincy to use to make homemade soup!

Laughter Yoga

Time: 13.15-13.45

Venue: The Studio, Sports Centre

Laughter Yoga (Hasyayoga) is a practice involving prolonged voluntary laughter. Laughter yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. Laughter yoga is done in groups, with eye contact, jokes and playfulness between participants. Forced laughter soon turns into real and contagious laughter.  All you need to do is to follow the lead and laugh.

Venue: Meeting in Sports Centre Reception, then outside

Cost: Free

Meeting inside the Sports Centre Reception area, and then going for a run across Lincoln. New members must sign in at the Sports Centre Reception.

Circuit Training
