Addaction Stand

Members from Addaction will be hosting a stand on the Ground Floor Atrium and will offer information on support and treatment for drug and alcohol misuse.

The service is embedded throughout the Lincolnshire community and includes outreach services. 

  • Working closely with partner agencies and in partnership with Double Impact in order to provide a holistic approach to recovery and the best possible support to service users 

  • Double Impact in partnership with Addaction offers a unique Recovery Academy to support individuals throughout their recovery journey.

  • Deliver a range of psychosocial interventions while managing and minimising the risk of harm.

  • Information on health checks, screening for blood borne viruses and Hepatitis B vaccinations.

Halfords Bike Checks

On Tuesday 7th March, Halfords will be offering free bike checks in the Rotunda outside the Minerva Building. Take your bike along for a check or just go and talk to the team for some advice on how to keep your bike road worthy.

Relaxation Workshop

We all know that rest and the ability to relax is good for maintaining all round health. Yet in today’s busy world of work, finding time and knowing how may be a challenge.

This short series of lunchtime sessions introduces you to some of the most effective ways that you can bring a little more relaxation into your day, overcome the effects of stress and build resilience to what life has to offer.

Week 1 – Calming Your Body

Week 3 – Visualising Relaxation

Includes information and techniques on topics such as ‘the importance of nourishing body, mind and soul’, ’breathing to beat stress’ and a ‘top 10 ways to relax’.

Emotional Fitness Workshop (Bitesize)

Without a doubt, emotions are part of what makes us human and they have their role to play in how we live our lives. Yet they can sometimes feel as if they get the better of us. So how do we turn this around? One place to start is by getting to know them; how they manifest, how to tell them apart and what to do with them.

This short workshop invites you to gently explore the world of emotions - our common experience, how emotions connect and their negative and positive sides. We’ll also consider how mindful awareness can help you begin to map your emotional landscape.
